Fair Use

Brief passages (approx. 10%) from The Forensic Examiner material can be reproduced without permission, with an appropriate citation. This extends to theses, dissertations, or other academic works. A photocopy of a single article or chapter from an issue of The Forensic Examiner may be made without permission for one-time, nonprofit, educational use.

Photocopies

Individual ACFEI members may make multiple copies or coursepacks without permission. Nonmembers should contact the Copyright Clearance Center.

Reprint/Republication

To reprint or republish ACFEI material, members should submit a permission request form and nonmembers should contact the Copyright Clearnace Center. Posting ACFEI material to Internet sites is generally restricted to secured, password-protected websites. Licensors must agree to terms set forth by The Forensic Examiner and should contact the editor for more information.

Library Reserve

Up to 10 photocopies of a single article or chapter can be reproduced for use in an educational institution. For secured, password-protected digital or electronic reserve, The Forensic Examiner subscribers may post journal articles for one semester without permission. Nonsubscribers must contact the Copyright Clearance Center.

Adaptations

Requests to adapt The Forensic Examiner material should be accompanied by a copy of the intended adaptation.
